Email Trojan strikes: cryzip
Tuesday, March 14th, 2006If you have been hit by this Trojan, and you found the ransom note asking for $300 to get the passcode to unlock your documents, check out LURHQ’s Cryzip writeup for free recovery information. The password for the ransomed infected files has been cracked, and can be found on their site.
Current AV signatures for eTrust block this virus from entering and infecting your system. I have not tested other AV venders yet.
